  1. I would appreciate if you showed us a demo of new cases as it takes time to ask around or read up how to do a work that we have not done before, that we can be more focus on the actual work and get them done as soon as possible, reading up doesnt help as much as seeing the actual demo. I undrestant your point of helping us to stand on our own feet, but the amount of work this block is alot and not enough time. :) :)

    1. Somi there will be enough time this block. All yu need to do is push yourself and your abilities a bit . Remember that you ss a student should e reading the information and yes I will give you demos. I do feel that I need you as the students to try and complete a case just on the instructions given.

  2. I expect that the advanced dentures portfolio that you have given us to do creates a continuous assessment that forces and helps us to keep up to date with our practical cases in class, as we are having to constantly update it with information and photos. I think it also prepares us for Btech in terms of the verbal presentation we will do, and compiling information through practice and research. I think its great that our final portfolios will be something we can refer back to over the months as our skills will (hopefully, haha) develop.

    1. I am glad you are enthusiastic about this new form of an assessment (instead of an assignment). I also think it will make you look at your class work differently. Well said Sam

  3. To be able to complete the cases required of me within the allocated time. not simply complete them.. but complete them in the correct functional manner using the techniques taught to us.. and to pass each case.. :D ..at the same time improving on my speed and skills. I also expect to be able to complete each case with as little assistance as possible. You as a lecturer ma'm, to stay the motherly figure you are to us throughout the block..the whooole block, even when we make you want to pull your hair out! ;) which is almost evryday.. :D

    1. Yes Mo, the eventual idea is that you do it with minimal assistace because that is how you will develop into the technician you should be. you all have the potential, I just think you as students do not like being put under pressure. We will work together

  9. my late expectation would be to better myself in everything i do, not only with class work as well as social development with each student. as a student we need to realize that not all is possible by doing it by ourselves, as in a laboratory everyone helps each other. i would expect that a lecturer should be there to teach and guide. as a student, constructive criticism towards each other work, would play a major role in development and improvement of their work. so my expectation for this block is to prove to our lecturer that we have the ability and skill to achieve all that is put forward to us, as this is a specialized course that we have been chosen over hundreds to do. good luck to all for the rest of the block.
